Favian Bustos – Austin, TX

Favian learned to “feel the music” from his Colombian father at an early age later serving as President for Texas Latin Dance night at his college where he had the opportunity to teach students, host social events, choreograph routines, and perform at festivals and congresses.

Favian worked with Arthur Murray School of Dance where he became a certified instructor in Latin, Ballroom, Country and Social dancing. His first endeavor on his own was creating Bachata Austin and has now grown his studio Inspired Movement to provide Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Zouk and host many other dance forms such as Tango, Country, Heels, and Breakdance. Favian brings his passion dance to Austin and hopes to inspire others one dance at a time.

Our Story

It started as an idea between friends, bringing a congress to Texas where at the time Texas had no active congress in the entire state. A congress that would showcase Texas Salsa talent, bring awareness of salsa to the community and raise money for scholarships. Together David Melendez and Ruby Rivera worked hard and in January 2004, the Texas Salsa Congress was born.
