Texas Salsa Congress is excited to host the 2018 Kick Off Party again at Prohibition Supperclub & Bar for a special edition of “A Night in Havana:  TX Salsa Congress Kickoff” An Immersive Dance Experience Produced by Terrible Enfants Theatre Co.

Escape to Cuban paradise once a month at Prohibition Supperclub & Bar. A Night in Havana” is a spectacular night of live music, stunning dance and aerial performances, infused with the sultry air of Old Havana. For this special edition of A Night in Havana, come meet, mix, mingle and dance with some of the Texas Salsa Congress Instructors, DJ’s, participants from out of town as well as those from right here in Texas as we all Kick Off the 14th Annual Texas Salsa Congress!!

Our Story

It started as an idea between friends, bringing a congress to Texas where at the time Texas had no active congress in the entire state. A congress that would showcase Texas Salsa talent, bring awareness of salsa to the community and raise money for scholarships. Together David Melendez and Ruby Rivera worked hard and in January 2004, the Texas Salsa Congress was born.
