Hometown: Austin, Texas

Jose represents both Austin and Los Angeles ; he was born in Mexico and moved to LA with his family, now he resides is Austin, Texas with his wife Robyn. He began learning body movement and balance through break dancing, then soon after he trained in American Ballroom and Salsa for ten years. He taught at the Arthur Murray Dance Academy , formerly directed Afeenix Dance Company and simultaneously directed and choreographed the internationally acclaimed Otero Dance Company's Salsa Department. He also directed and choreographed the Rhythm and Passion Show in Hollywood for two years in a row. Jose has toured all over the world with Salsa, from China to Japan , Mexico to New York and performed with Eva Longoria's Hot Tamales Live at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas . He is a former member of Magic Mambo, the 2007 Mayan World Salsa Champions. With his new wife Robyn, he directs and choreographs Burn The Floor Austin, and loves to inspire new students as well!
