Christopher Molina – New York

In October of 2006 Christopher Molina found his love of dance. Since then, he has trained in a variety of dances, including On2 salsa (NY style), Cha Cha, American Tango, American Waltz, Bachata, Merengue and Cumbia, to name a few. Under the tutelage of Mr. Howie Lorenz, Molina has become an accomplished dancer, choreographer and instructor at Lorenz Latin Dance Studio- one of New York’s premiere Latin dance studios. Molina has performed internationally and across America at numerous salsa congresses, and has taught Latin dance workshops nationwide.

Christopher’s unique style has been described as creative, high-energy artistry. His style is heavily centered on musicality, which is connecting body movement to rhythm, tempo, phrasing and even the mood of a song. His refreshing style is reflective of his dancing mottos, “Feel the music!” and “Dance with heart”.

Our Story

It started as an idea between friends, bringing a congress to Texas where at the time Texas had no active congress in the entire state. A congress that would showcase Texas Salsa talent, bring awareness of salsa to the community and raise money for scholarships. Together David Melendez and Ruby Rivera worked hard and in January 2004, the Texas Salsa Congress was born.
